The awful truth: Twilight's Ashley Greene Fires Back at Frenzied Fans
We ran into Twi babe Ashley Greene at the Vision Awards over the weekend, so we chatted up the sweetheart to get all of you your delish daily dose of New Moon horniness.
When we go through a lot of your comments on our message boards, the debate gets very heated when it comes to Twilight couples Rob and Kristen, and sometimes Jackson Rathbone and Ashley.
Folks seem to either love Robsten together or hate the idea of them—refusing to believe they can be anything more than costars. And that's putting it nicely. There are very nasty things said about these actors, (Kristen especially), when, in reality, hardly anyone has met these people before—so we wanted to get Ash's thoughts on all of this.
Why do you think fans either need Rob and Kristen or you and Jackson to be together, or need you to be apart?
I think maybe part of it is the fans see that relationship onscreen and want it to be real, which is great for all of us to hear because at least we're doing a good job portraying the fact that we're absolutely enamored with each other. And of course, there's real chemistry there. On the other extreme, it's usually because they really just don't like one of us!
That's so candid! And true probably.
People usually think one person is better than the other.
Do you guys ever see comment boards where fans, shall we say, express their feelings about all you guys?
Oh sure. I mean, I've heard "Ashley is so not good enough for Jackson," and I'm like, oh my God!
Rob and Kristen get a lot of that too…
Yeah, they get a lot of "No, he can't date her."
Does it get to you guys?
We can't let it! We're all just like, all right whatever!
______
Well, we here at the A.T. think there should be a middle ground in all the hate and love, in more ways than one. Maybe some people just need to accept Twilight actors are real people! They're going to date, hook up, breakup and lots more in between.
Like Rob and Kristen for ince—they're young, hot, horny kids. They are allowed to be together, casually with their own rules and not have the next step be marriage. We get lots of emails saying that because Robsten haven't marched down the aisle yet, they're "obviously" not together. It's called dating folks—or hooking up with friendly fringe benefits, whatever you want to call it.
Let's just let them keep doing it, shall we?
